Plans are underway for an informal workshop for all those interested in
the biology and conservation of rhino species. This workshop would
occur in Port Elizabeth on July 6 2007, following the close of Society
for Conservation Biology Conference, and may include a field trip on
July 7. We hope that one or two rhino specialists working with Asiatic
species will be in attendance as well as colleagues from East Africa.
Further details regarding the goals and agenda will be forthcoming
shortly, and we will be seeking input in that regard. Anyone potentially
interested in participating in this event who has not already been in
touch with the organizers should send an e-mail to
Peter Lent at the University of Fort Hare.
