This is the site of Reinhardt A Botha. If you don't know this already, I am a professor at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, in the School of ICT which forms part of the Faculty of Engineering, the Built Environment and Information Technology.

Having tried numerous times to create nice looking web-sites, then getting entangled in the maintenance of it resulting in mainly outdated web-sites, I decided to have a small, text-oriented web-site that provide basic functionality. This way if its outdated it would at least not appear as if I spend too much time on my web-site! This page is focused as a tool for research communications, although some other material such as lectures are available.

My web-site has the following zones:

The Lecturing Zone which contains all lecturing material that I care to share with students. If it is not there, then I don't intend making it available. As a principle I don't make all material available, I believe that lectures should be required to pass a course - however, I try to not be unreasonable.

The Publications Zone list all my research publications. Where available the electronic copy is given.

The Research Zone gives interested parties information regarding my domains of research interest. It tries to give some starter researchers interesting information, provide background reading for interested parties on specified topics. Note that this is a personal repository aimed at helping those that needs introduction to my research areas - it should thus not be seen as a comprehensive bibliography of material.

In my Personal Zone I share some of my non-academic related life with anyone who has little enough to do to bother.
