The Department of Physics at the NMMU provides well rounded programmmes in physics at undergraduate and BSc Honours level.  Post-graduate research is concentrated in the following fields:  Optical Fibre Research, Electron Microscopy, Photovoltaics, Semiconductor Materials and Nanostructures, and Materials Characterization.
